Another Rock Icon Gone

| January 30, 2016

When I heard the news the other day that Paul Kantner of the Jefferson Airplane and later the Jefferson Starship had passed away from multiple organ failure brought upon by a heart attack, I thought to myself, “Oh no, not another one”!  We all heard that David Bowie,  Ian ‘Lemmy’ Kilmister, Terence Dale Griffin and Glenn Frey had passed.  And now Paul Kantner who was only 74.  I grew up with this music, the culture from the 60’s.  I have their music in my record collection.  It just makes me feel that no one is here on this earth for long and we should all live life to the fullest and take time to stop and smell the roses.  Slow down with our fast paced lives and just enjoy life.  Here are two videos from Paul Kantner’s time with Jefferson Airplane and Jefferson Starship.
