April 1 – Friendship Quilting Club – Join us for crafting and camaraderie. Whether you are a newcomer or a long-time quilting enthusiast, you’re invited to learn new techniques, talk about fabrics and share patterns. 10:00am-12:00pm

April 3 – Easter Storytime & Egg Hunt – Join us for this special holiday family storytime. Afterward, stay and hunt for Easter eggs! The egg hunt will take place outside, weather permitting. Egg hunt times: children ages 0-5 @ 1:30pm, children 6 and up @ 1:45pm. 1:00-2:00pm

April 8 – Parker’s Storytime – Join us as we explore the alphabet and follow the five basic principles of “Every Child Ready To Read” with books, songs, and rhymes in this fun storytime. Ages 3-5-years-old with caregiver. 2:00-3:00pm

April 8 – Lego Club – Bring your imagination & we’ll supply the Legos. All Ages welcome with adult supervision.  6:00-7:30pm

April 9 – Dewey Discovery – Create, explore, and discover through interactive activities and crafts! Ages 6-8-years-old. 6:00-7:00pm

April 10 – Morning Movers – Let’s read, sing, and play in this storytime for babies and toddlers. Ages 0-3-years-old with caregiver. 10:00-11:00am

April 10 – Once Upon a Prom – Come and browse nearly 200 gently used dresses, suits, and accessories and take home a free outfit for your special night. Enter to win gift certificates to local hair and nail salons as well as other great prizes! 4:00-8:00pm

April 11 – Friends of the Library Meeting – The Friends of the Franklin Park Library support the Franklin Park Library by providing volunteer services, sponsoring library events, and funding library programs. New members are always welcome. 9:30-11:00am

April 11 – Knit & Crochet Group – New members always welcome! Join fellow crafters from every skill level. Learn tips and tricks and share projects you’re creating. 1:00-3:00pm

April 13 – Writing Workshop – Do you love to read and write?  Explore your inner creative voice with games and activities in this program! Ages 6-12-years old. 6:00-7:00pm

April 15 – DIY Luminaries – Looking for a beautiful, hand-made gift to give (or even keep)? Come and make luminaries with us! Registration is required. A $5 supply fee is due at time of registration. Participants must bring a glue gun (some glue sticks will be provided). Limit 20 people. 6:00-7:30pm

April 17 – Morning Movers – Let’s read, sing, and play in this storytime for babies and toddlers. Ages 0-3-years-old with caregiver. 10:00-11:00am

April 17 – Friday Flicks – Join us each month to watch a newly released movie. This month’s movie is the Foxcatcher (Rated R), starring Steve Carrell, Channing Tatum, and Mark Ruffalo. Refreshments will also be available. 2:00-4:15pm

April 17 – Friday Family Flicks – Join us each month to watch a family-friendly movie. This month’s movie is Penguins of Madagascar (Rated PG). Refreshments will also be available. 6:00-7:30

April 21 – Nonfiction Book Club – We will be discussing The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg. Pick up your copy of the book at the Circulation Desk starting a month before the discussion date. 7:00-8:00pm

April 22 – Make & Take – Are you a DIYer who wants to build something rather than buy it? Come and create! Ages 9-12-years-old. 6:00-7:00pm

April 24 – Toddler Art – Get your toddler ready to read through art. Join us for stories and hands-on activities to nourish your creative toddler. Remember that creativity can be messy so bring a smock. 2-4 years-old with caregiver. 10:00-11:00am

April 24 – Anime Club – Watch your favorite anime and draw your own manga while feasting on Japanese snacks! Ages 12-17-years-old. 6:00-7:30pm

April 27 – Writing Workshop – Do you love to read and write?  Explore your inner creative voice with games and activities in this program! Ages 6-12-years old. 6:00-7:00pm

April 30 – Scrapbooking Club – Do you have a bunch of unorganized pictures laying around? Then get organized and join us for our Scrapbooking Club each month. You will learn new techniques and be able to share ideas and materials with other people. Please bring your own photos, unfinished scrapbooks, and any materials you’d like to trade with others. 6:00-8:00pm
