April 2 – Friendship Quilting Club – Join us for crafting and camaraderie. Whether you are a newcomer or a long-time enthusiast, you are invited to learn new techniques, talk about fabrics and share patterns. 10:00am-12:00pm

April 2 – Zoo to You – Birds! – Uncover amazing bird features as three very different animals from the Cosley Zoo visit the Library! All ages. 6:00-7:00pm

April 2 – Conversation Circle – Join us each week for the chance to practice your English speaking skills in an informal, supportive setting. 7:00-8:00pm

April 3 – Lego Club – Build with us! Take the Lego building challenge, and your creation could be on display in Kids Crossing! All Ages. 6:00-8:00pm

April 4 – Friday Flicks – Join us on Fridays each month to watch a newly released movie! This month’s movie is Saving Mr. Banks (PG-13), starring Emma Thompson and Tom Hanks. Refreshments will also be served. 1:00pm-3:15pm

April 4 – Tween Scene – Celebrate Money Smart Week® with us and decorate your very own piggy bank. Ages 9 – 13-years-old. 6:00-7:00pm

April 9 – Conversation Circle – Join us each week for the chance to practice your English speaking skills in an informal, supportive setting. 7:00-8:00pm

April 10 – Identity Theft Prevention – Members of the Illinois Comptroller’s Office’s “Take Charge Illinois” program stop by as part of our Money Smart Week® programming to discuss issues related to Identity Theft. 3:00-4:00pm

April 10 – Dewey Discovery – Do you know all the planets in the solar system? Are you a mad scientist? Join us as we explore the nonfiction section of the library. Ages 6 – 8-years-old. 6:00-7:00pm

April 10 – Junior Storytime – Come sing, play, and read in this interactive storytime for children in preschool and kindergarten. Caregivers are highly encouraged to attend this program with their child. Ages 3 – 5-years-old. 6:00-7:00pm

April 11 – Once Upon a Prom – Need a dress to wear to prom? Browse nearly 200 dresses at our third annual dress giveaway event, and take one home for free! We will also raffle off some fabulous prizes to help you get ready for the big day. 5:00-9:00pm

April 12 – Friends of the Library Meeting – The Friends of the Franklin Park Library support the Franklin Park Library through volunteerism, fundraising activities and sponsorship of programs and activities. New members are always welcome. 9:30-11:00am

April 12 – Knit & Crochet Group – New members always welcome! Join fellow crafters from every skill level. Learn tips and tricks and share projects you’re creating. 1:00-3:00pm

April 15 – Nonfiction Book Club – We will be discussing the book Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand. Pick up your copy at the Circulation Desk starting a month before the discussion date. Registration is required. 7:00-8:00pm

April 19 – Zumba® @ the Library – Certified instructor Dana Trampas stops by the Library to lead our free Zumba® class for people ages 13 and up (under 18 with parental permission). Registration is required. 11:00am-12:00pm

April 22 – Planning for the Future: Having the Conversation with Your Aging Parents – Ruth Folkening from Aging Care Connections in La Grange returns for this informative, at times light-hearted, session for adult children and/or their aging parents regarding planning for needs. 6:00-7:00pm

April 23 – Conversation Circle – Join us each week for the chance to practice your English speaking skills in an informal, supportive setting. 7:00-8:00pm

April 30 – Día de los Niños – Let’s celebrate! Join us for stories, music, games, and treats! All ages. 6:00-7:00pm
