Winter Reading  Results

The Adult and Teen Winter Reading Program, “Read Across America” brought together over 131 readers who read over 700  books, and so visited all 50 states.   The most frequently read author was James Patterson but the most frequently read book was Dave Egger’s non fiction  work  Zeitoun.

The Book Club has been split up into two groups, representing Fiction and Non- fiction books. The Non-Fiction Book Club will meet in April, the Fiction Book Club will meet in May.

Come share quilting tips and projects with other quilters!  Beginners are always welcome.

Join us on the second Friday of each month for a new movie!  This month, we will be showing  Daniel Day Lewis’s latest  Oscar winning  performance.

Join us on the second Saturday of each month to learn tips for knitting and crocheting or to share projects you’re working on.

Help us kick off  “Communities Matter!” Pose for a READ poster, have snacks & refreshments, and enjoy a special performance from Hester Junior High’s BASSically TREBLE.

Identity Theft Prevention                                                                 Monday, April 22 at 6 pm                                

This session will teach you how to protect against identity theft and how to spot potential scams and frauds as part of the library’s celebration of Money Smart Week®.  This program is presented by members of Illinois Comptroller’s Office’s “Take Charge Illinois” program.
