August 5 – Friendship Quilting Club – Join us for crafting and camaraderie. Whether you are a newcomer or a long-time quilting enthusiast, you’re invited to learn new techniques, talk about fabrics, and share patterns. 10:00am-12:00pm

August 7 – Friday Flicks – Join us each month to watch a newly released movie. This month’s movie is The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (Rated PG). Refreshments will also be available. 2:00-4:00pm

August 7 – Friday Family Flicks – Join us each month to watch a family-friendly movie. This month’s movie is The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out of Water (Rated PG). Refreshments will also be available. 6:00-7:30pm

August 8 – Friends of the Library Meeting – The Friends of the Franklin Park Library support the Franklin Park Library by providing volunteer services, sponsoring library events, and funding library programs. New members are always welcome. 9:30-11:00am

August 8 – Knit & Crochet Group – New members always welcome! Join fellow crafters from every skill level. Learn tips and tricks and share projects you’re creating. 1:00-3:00pm

August 18 – Nonfiction Book Club – We will be discussing Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can’t Stop Talking by Susan Cain. Pick up your copy of the book at the Circulation Desk starting a month before the discussion date. 7:00-8:00pm

August 26 – Scrapbooking Club – Bring your photos, unfinished scrapbooks, and any material you’d like to trade with others. Ages 13-years-old and up. 6:00-8:00pm

August 28 – Anime Club – Watch your favorite anime and draw your own manga while feasting on Japanese snacks! Ages 12-17-years-old. 6:00-7:30pm
