August 5 – Lego Club – Build with us during this special Tuesday night Lego Club! All ages. 6:00-8:00pm

August 6 – Friendship Quilting Club – Join us for crafting and camaraderie. Whether you are a newcomer or a long-time quilting enthusiast, you’re invited to learn new techniques, talk about fabrics and share patterns. 10:00am-12:00pm

August 8 – Friday Flicks – Join us on Fridays each month to watch a newly released movie! This month’s movie is Lone Survivor (Rated R), starring Mark Wahlberg. Refreshments will also be available. 2:00-4:00pm

August 8 – Divergent Party – Come and have fun at this interactive viewing of the Divergent movie. We’ll be making faction-inspired crafts and enjoying faction-inspired treats while we watch the movie. Ages 13-17-years-old. 6:00-8:30pm

August 15 – Friday Flicks – Join us on Fridays each month to watch a newly released movie! This month’s movie is The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (Rated PG-13), starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, and Jamie Foxx. Refreshments will also be available. 6:00-8:30pm

August 19 – Nonfiction Book Club – We will be discussing the book The Zookeeper’s Wife by Diane Ackerman. Pick up your copy at the Circulation Desk starting a month before the discussion date. Registration is required. 7:00-8:00pm

August 21 – How to Plan for College – Representatives from College Bound Funding Solutions in Oakbrook Terrace join us to talk about planning for college. They will share techniques that help deal with the stress associated with planning and paying for college. This program is ideal for high school students and their parents. 7:00-8:00pm

August 23 – Zumba® @ the Library – Certified instructor Dana Trampas returns to lead our free Zumba® classes for people ages 13 and up (under 18 with parental permission). Be prepared to work out & have fun! 11:00am-12:00pm

August 29 – Anime Club – Watch your favorite anime, draw your own manga, and, of course, feast on Japanese snacks! Ages 13-17-years-old. 6:00-7:00pm
