Friends of the Library

The Friends support the Library through volunteerism, fund-raising activities and sponsorship of programs and activities.   This year, the Friends Group of the Franklin Park Library organized community wide discounts for library card holders in support of National Library Week in April.  They also provided three grand prize gifts for raffles which will conclude the Adult Summer Reading Program.   They also provided seed money for the Tweens silk screening project which resulted in funds raised through the sale of the really handsome tee-shirts they printed.   Most of the Friend’s projects are funded through money raised by the Friend’s ongoing Book Sale.

The Friends meet the second Saturday of each month at 9:30 am in the Library. New members are always welcome.   Your membership offers you the opportunity to share thoughts, donate your time, or lend your talents to efforts to make the Library a strong and vibrant part of our community.
