December 1 – Writing Workshop – Do you love to read and write? Are you excited at the possibility to share your writing with others? Come explore your inner creative voice! Ages 6-years-old and up. 6:00-7:00pm

December 2 – Storytelling Time with Miss Nancy! – Storyteller Nancy Newlin brings stories to life with interactive tales, improv, puppets, and music in this fun program for all ages. 10:00-11:00am

December 3 – Friendship Quilting Club – Join us for crafting and camaraderie. Whether you are a newcomer or a long-time quilting enthusiast, you’re invited to learn new techniques, talk about fabrics and share patterns. 10:00am-12:00pm

December 3 – Holiday Craft: Ornament Wreaths – Just in time for the holidays, join us to make easy ornament wreaths. A $5 materials fee is required at the time of registration. Registration must be done in person. Limit 25 attendees. 6:00-8:00pm

December 5 – Morning Movers – Let’s read, sing, and play in this storytime for babies and toddlers. Ages 0-3-years-old with caregiver. 10:00-11:00am

December 6 – Morning Bookworms – Start your weekend off right with a fun storytime and craft. Ages 3-5-years-old with caregiver. 11:00am-12:00pm

December 6 – 3rd Annual Holiday Open House – Celebrate the holidays with us as we enjoy a special musical performance by Hester Junior High’s BASSically TREBLE choir. Crafts, treats, and a deluxe holiday photo booth will also be available. 1:00-3:00pm

December 8 – Book Club Holiday Party – Bring a favorite book or two that you’ve read (not in book club) and talk about it with the group. We’ll also have yummy treats and prizes! 6:00-8:00pm

December 10 – Lego Club – We supply the Legos, you bring the imagination and creativity! All Ages (with adult supervision). Limit 60. 6:00-8:00pm

December 11 – Little Eagles Storytime – Read with us! We’ll share fun stories, learn new songs, and make something fun to take home. Ages 4-5-years-old. Limit 25. 6:00-7:00pm

December 11 – Dewey Discovery – Are you interested in photography or painting? Join us as we explore the nonfiction section of the Library! Ages 6-8-years-old. 6:00-7:00pm

December 12 – Morning Movers – Let’s read, sing, and play in this storytime for babies and toddlers. Ages 0-3-years-old with caregiver. 10:00-11:00am

December 12 – Friday Flicks – Join us on Fridays each month to watch a newly released movie! This month’s movie is A Madea Christmas (Rated PG-13), starring, written & directed by Tyler Perry. Refreshments will also be available. 2:00-3:45pm

December 12 – Friday Family Flicks – Join us on Fridays each month to watch a family-friendly movie! This month’s movie is How to Train Your Dragon 2 (Rated PG), starring the voices of Jay Baruchel, Cate Blanchett, and Gerard Butler. Refreshments will also be available. 6:00-7:45pm

December 13 – Zumba® @ the Library – Certified instructor Dana Trampas returns to lead our free Zumba® classes for people ages 13 and up (under 18 with parental permission). Be prepared to work out & have fun! 11:00am-12:00pm

December 13 – Knit & Crochet Group – New members always welcome! Join fellow crafters from every skill level. Learn tips and tricks and share projects you’re creating. 1:00-3:00pm

December 19 – Toddler Art – Join us for stories and hands-on activities to nourish the creative toddler within. Ages 2-4-years-old with caregiver. 10:00-11:00am

December 19 – Anime Club – Watch your favorite anime and draw your own manga while feasting on Japanese snacks. Ages 12-17-years-old. 6:00-7:00pm

December 29 – Holiday Bingo – Hey, kids! Need a break from the holiday craziness? Celebrate National Bingo Month at the Library. Come and play bingo and win prizes! NOTE: This session is for children and families only. 2:00-3:00pm
