DISTRICT 212 PRESENTS SPRING PLAY – The Mousetrap

DISTRICT 212 SPRING PRODUCTION THE MOUSETRAP

District 212 Fine Arts Department presents The Mousetrap, a murder-mystery play based on an unpublished short story by Agatha Christy, on Friday and Saturday, May 3, 4, 10, and 11, 2013, at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium at West Leyden High School, 1000 N. Wolf Rd., Northlake.

In this “who dun it” thriller, eight people are snowed in at a guest house.  Everyone, including Mollie and Giles Ralston who own the house, and the four invited guests, are rather eccentric.  Then there are the unexpected guests – a man who turns up seeking shelter after his car is stranded during the snow storm, and a ski–loving detective in pursuit of a murderer.  Not long after everyone settles in, there’s a murder.  This prompts the detective to assemble the guests and interrogate them one by one.  It’s not an easy task as each guest avoids the truth either by lying or silence.  Can the murderer be caught before more deaths occur?  You will have to see this quintessentially English mystery to find out.

This production is composed of students from both campuses.

Admission is $2 for students with a valid ID and $3 for adults.  For more information, please visit WWW.leyden212.org/finearts.
