HALLOWEEN INSTRUMENTAL CONCERT AT EAST LEYDEN

Leyden High School District 212 presents its annual fall Halloween Instrumental Concert on Thursday, October 25, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium at West Leyden High School, 1000 N. Wolf Rd, Northlake.

In keeping with the Halloween holiday, the auditorium will be decorated and the performers will be in costume.  There will be ghostly melodies, fantastic fantasies, and thematic music about villains and heroes.

The concert features students from both campuses, including those in the symphonic and concert bands, and the orchestra.  This combined production will be conducted by Leyden Music Department teachers Bryan Miller, Tara Cappelletti, and student teacher Rebecca Tannahill.

“The Halloween Concert is an exciting way to kick off our series of six on-campus instrumental music concerts during the school year,” Miller says.  “Complete with fun musical themes, costumes, and seasonal decorations, it is a favorite for students and community members alike.  Our auditorium is typically packed for this event, which is great for our performers because it really rewards their hard work.”

The concert is free and open to the public.
