February 1 – Library Quilt & Sew Club – Join us for casual discussion about quilting & sewing, and showing completed projects. We embrace all quilting and sewing skills. 10:00am-12:00pm

February 1 – Coding Club – Are you good at solving puzzles? Join us to experiment with coding and uncover all the wonderful things you can do with computers! Limit 10. Grades 3-5. 4:00-5:00pm

February 3 – Morning Movers Storytime – Develop your child’s early literacy skills through songs, rhymes, reading, and play. Limit 20. Ages 0-3 with caregiver. 10:00-11:00am

February 3 – Friends of the Library Winter Book Sale – Looking for a great deal on new or gently used books, CDs, DVDs, and videos? Come to the Friends of the Library’s first book sale of the new year! 5:00-8:00pm

February 4 – Friends of the Library Winter Book Sale – Looking for a great deal on new or gently used books, CDs, DVDs, and videos? Come to the Friends of the Library’s first book sale of the new year!  11:00am-3:00pm

February 4 – Arts & Snacks – Drop in for some art! Create a masterpiece at your library. We will have all sorts of art supplies available and a bunch of snacks to keep you going. This program is for teens & adults. 1:00-4:00pm

February 6 – Tabletop Gaming Club – If you enjoy playing various board games then this is the program for you! Grab some friends and visit your library to play from a selection of classic and new tabletop games. This program is for teens & adults. 6:00-8:00pm

February 7 – Conversation Circle – Drop-in to practice speaking English in an informal setting. 2:00-3:00pm

February 9 – Full STEAM Ahead – Join us as we travel full STEAM ahead into science, technology, engineering, art, and math! Limit 30. Grades 1-3. 4:00-5:00pm

February 9 – Parker’s Storytime – Explore the alphabet with books, songs, and rhymes in this fun storytime. Limit 20. Ages 3-5 with caregiver. 4:00-5:00pm

February 10 – Morning Movers Storytime – Develop your child’s early literacy skills through songs, rhymes, reading, and play. Limit 20. Ages 0-3 with caregiver. 10:00-11:00am

February 10 – Friday Flicks – Join us each month to watch a newly released movie! This month’s movie is Deepwater Horizon (PG-13). Refreshments will also be available. 2:00-4:00pm

February 10 – Friday Family Flicks – Join us each month for a family-friendly movie! This month’s movie is The BFG (PG). Refreshments will also be available. 6:00-8:00pm

February 11 – Friends of the Library Meeting – The Friends of the Franklin Park Library support the Franklin Park Library by providing volunteer services, sponsoring library events, and funding library programs. New members are always welcome. 9:30-11:00am

February 11 – Knit & Crochet Group – New members always welcome! Join fellow crafters from every skill level. Learn tips and tricks and share projects you’re creating. 1:00-3:00pm

February 15 – Kids Graphic Novel Club – We will meet once a month to discuss exciting titles and enjoy some snacks. This month, we’re discussing Mighty Jack by Ben Hatke. Copies of the books will be available at the Circulation Desk about a month prior to the meeting date. Limit 20. Grades 3-5. 4:00-4:45pm

February 17 – Anti-Valentine’s Day Party – Uncelebrate Valentine’s Day with crafts, food, and activities. Grades 7-12. 6:00-7:00pm

February 18 – TAB Meeting – The Teen Advisory Board is a place share ideas about activities, materials, and changes to implement to make the Library a destination for teens. Members please join us for our monthly meeting! Lunch will be provided! Grades 7-12. 1:00-2:00pm

February 20 – Lego Club – Whether you are a great builder or a first timer, this is the place for you. We provide the Legos, you provide the imagination. Limit 30. All Ages. 5:00-6:30pm

February 21 – Tuesday Classics – Join us on the third Tuesday of each month to watch a classic movie! This month’s film is Pretty Woman (R). Refreshments will also be available. 10:30am-12:30pm

February 21 – Conversation Circle – Drop-in to practice speaking English in an informal setting. 2:00-3:00pm

February 21 – Cutting the Cable Cord: Cable TV Alternatives – Dropping a cable TV subscription and using online video alternatives has become a viable option for those eager to trim their budget. But is ditching the cable the right decision for you? This presentation will weigh the options and explore online streaming services and equipment. 6:00-7:00pm

February 22 – Scrapbooking Club – Bring your photos, unfinished scrapbooks, and any material you’d like to trade with others. For teens and adults. 6:00-8:00pm

February 23 – Parker’s Storytime – Explore the alphabet with books, songs, and rhymes in this fun storytime. Limit 20. Ages 3-5 with caregiver. 4:00-5:00pm

February 24 – Anime Club – Come join us at Anime Club! Draw and paint your own manga. Snack on delicious Japanese snacks. Watch your favorite anime. Grades 7-12. 6:00-7:30pm

February 25 – Fancy Nancy Soirée – Join us for a soirée (that’s fancy for “party”), where there will be Fancy Nancy stories, activities, and treats. There will also be an opportunity to pose for photos with some fancy props, so be sure to dress in your fanciest clothes. Limit 30. All Ages. 2:00-3:00pm

February 28 – Morning Storytime – Join us twice a month for a themed storytime filled with fun songs, stories, and a craft! Limit 15. Ages 3-5 years old with caregiver. 10:00-10:45am

February 28 – Conversation Circle – Drop-in to practice speaking English in an informal setting. 2:00-3:00pm

February 28 – The Scrap Exchange – Stop by the Library on the last day of each month and get a second chance at creativity using our leftover crafts. It’s also a great time to bring in any crafting supplies you are no longer using at home. All ages. 6:00-8:00pm
