February 1 – Harry Potter Movie Night, Part 1 – It is our choices that show us what we truly are. Choose to join us as we start off our Harry Potter week with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1.  Refreshments will be provided. All Ages. 6:00-8:30 pm

February 2 – Conversation Circles – Do you want to practice your English? Join us weekly for informal conversation in a supportive setting. 3:00-4:00pm

February 2 – Study Hall – Need a quiet place to do your homework or work on a project? Spread out in our meeting rooms. Grades 7-12. 3:00-8:00pm

February 2 – Harry Potter Movie Night, Part 2 – Let’s finish this the way we started it…together.  Join us for the epic conclusion to the Harry Potter series as we watch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2. Refreshments will be provided. All Ages. 6:00-8:30 pm

February 3 – Library Quilt & Sew Club (formerly Friendship Quilting Club) – Join us for crafting and camaraderie. We embrace all quilting and sewing skills. 10:00am-12:00pm

February 3 – Harry Potter Family Craft Night – You’re a…crafter, Harry! Adults, teens, and tweens (grade 4+) will enjoy making a wand while children decorate their own dragon egg. 6:00-8:00pm

February 3 – Conversation Circles – Do you want to practice your English? Join us weekly for informal conversation in a supportive setting. 7:00-8:00pm

February 4 – Harry Potter Book Night: “A Night of Spells” – After all this time you still love the Harry Potter series? Always. Come to the Library tonight to test your knowledge in a Harry Potter Trivia Contest! Don’t forget to dress up for our Harry Potter Costume Contest. Winners of the Trivia Contest and Costume Contest will receive magical prizes. All Ages. 6:00-7:30 pm

February 5 – Card Game Night – It’s card game night at the library. Bring in your trading cards such as Magic The Gathering, Yu-gi-oh, Pokemon TCG, and more. Get your decks ready for a fun filled night! Snacks will be served. Grades 7-12. Limit 20. 6:00-7:00pm

February 6 – Arts & Snacks – Drop in for some art! Create a masterpiece at your library. We will have all sorts of art supplies available and a bunch of snacks to keep you going. For teens and adults. 1:00-4:00pm

February 9 – Conversation Circles – Do you want to practice your English? Join us weekly for informal conversation in a supportive setting. 3:00-4:00pm

February 9 – Study Hall – Need a quiet place to do your homework or work on a project? Spread out in our meeting rooms. Grades 7-12. 3:00-8:00pm

February 9 – Library Board Meeting – Board meetings are open to the public. Meetings are typically held on the second Tuesday of each month. 7:30-8:30pm

February 10 – Adult Indoor Recess – Make new friends or socialize with old ones while you enjoy board games, chess, Wii games, coloring pages, and much more. All skill levels are welcome. Bring back memories of days gone by and create new ones! 10:00am-12:00pm

February 10 – Lego Club – Build whatever leaps into your imagination! Lego Club offers a time to relax and create. Limit 40. All Ages. 6:00-7:30pm

February 11 – Parker’s Storytime – Join us for books, songs, and rhymes in this fun storytime! Ages 3-5 years old with caregiver. Limit 20. 4:00-5:00pm

February 11 – Full STEAM Ahead – Join us as we travel full STEAM ahead into science, technology, engineering, art, and math!  Grades 1–3. 4:00-5:00pm

February 12 – Morning Movers Storytime – Develop your child’s early literacy skills through songs, rhymes, reading, and play. Ages 0-3 years old w/ caregiver. Limit 20.  10:00-11:00am

February 12 – Friday Flicks – Join us each month to watch a newly released movie! This month’s movie is The Martian (PG-13). Refreshments will also be available. 2:00-4:15pm

February 12 – Friday Family Flicks – Join us each month for a family-friendly movie! This month’s movie is Hotel Transylvania 2 (PG). Refreshments will also be available. 6:00-7:30pm

February 13 – Friends of the Library Meeting – The Friends of the Franklin Park Library support the Franklin Park Library by providing volunteer services, sponsoring library events, and funding library programs. New members are always welcome. 9:30-11:00am

February 13 – Knit & Crochet Group – Join fellow crafters from every skill level. Learn tips and tricks and share projects you’re creating. 1:00-3:00pm

February 15 – Adult Coloring Club (formerly Coloring Party for Adults) – Coloring isn’t just for kids anymore! Join us for a stress-relieving evening of coloring! Coloring pages and colored pencils will be provided for use, but feel free to bring in your own art supplies, too. 6:00-8:00pm

February 16 – Conversation Circles – Do you want to practice your English? Join us weekly for informal conversation in a supportive setting. 3:00-4:00pm

February 16 – Study Hall – Need a quiet place to do your homework or work on a project? Spread out in our meeting rooms. Grades 7-12. 3:00-8:00pm

February 17 – Shameless Reads Book Club – We read romance and we are unashamed! Care to join in on the fun? We will read a variety of new-contemporary, erotica, historical, contemporary, paranormal, and suspense novels. This month, we will be discussing Before We Kiss by Susan Mallery. Pick up your copy of the book at the Circulation Desk starting a month before the discussion date. Adults only. 6:00-7:00pm

February 23 – Irish Cuisine – Beyond Corned Beef – Prepare your St. Patrick’s Day menu when Chef Maddox returns to whip up some Irish culinary delights. Limit 30. 6:00-7:30pm

February 24 – Scrapbooking Club – Bring your photos, unfinished scrapbooks, and any material you’d like to trade with others. For teens and adults. 6:00-8:00pm
