Honoring Our Veterans

| October 20, 2015

Celebrate Veterans Day in an artistic way and thank a veteran at the same time. Stop by the Franklin Park Public Library’s creation station between Monday, November 2 and Saturday, November 14 to use our supply of stationery, cards, envelopes, colored pencils, and coloring sheets. Write a letter or a card to a veteran and feel free to include holiday greetings for the veterans as well. Younger children can color a picture. Return your creations unsealed to the collection box at the creation station by November 14. All letters, cards, and pictures will be delivered to Hines Veterans Hospital.

Do you have pictures of Franklin Park veterans or current service members that we can display on our Honor Wall? Please bring them to the Info Desk. Your photos will be scanned and returned to you while you fill out a short form.

The Franklin Park Public Library is located at 10311 Grand Avenue in Franklin Park, IL. We offer a range of services and programs for children, teens, and adults.  Further information is available at www.fppld.org or by calling 847-455-6016.
