July 2 – Parker’s Storytime – Join us as we explore the alphabet and follow the five basic principles of “Every Child Ready To Read” with books, songs, and rhymes in this fun storytime. Limit 20. Ages 3-5-years-old with caregiver. 2:00-3:00pm

July 2 – Camp Superhero – It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s…You! Transform yourself into a superhero with accessories and feats of awesomeness. Registration is required. Limit 50 people per session. Ages 6-8-years-old. 2:00-3:00pm

July 3 – Morning Movers – Let’s read, sing, and play in this storytime for babies and toddlers. Ages 0-3-years-old with caregiver. 10:00-11:00am

July 3 – Zumba® Kids – Come to a kid-friendly class based on original Zumba® choreography! Bring a water bottle & wear movement friendly clothing and gym shoes. All kids must have a waiver/release signed by a legal parent/guardian. Limit of 20 people. Ages 7-11-years-old. 3:00-4:00pm

July 6 – Family Game Day – Bring the whole family and play our assortment of Wii, card, and board games! All ages. 2:00-4:00pm

July 6 – Writing Workshop – Do you love to read and write?  Explore your inner creative voice with games and activities in this program!  Ages 6-12-years-old. 6:00-7:00pm

July 7 – Storytime with a Hero – Who is your hero?  Enjoy a different storytime each week led by a heroic member of our community! All ages. Registration is required. Limit 75. 10:00-11:00am

July 8 – Ben’s Bubble Show – Enjoy art, science, and a touch of magic while watching this amazing bubble show! Sign up for this program begins on June 25th. Tickets are required to enter. Please visit the Kids Crossing Desk to receive tickets for this event. All Ages. Limit 75. 3:00-4:00 pm

July 10 – Friday Flicks – Join us each month to watch a newly released movie. This month’s movie is Unbroken (Rated PG-13). Refreshments will also be available. 2:00-4:15pm

July 11 – Friends of the Library Meeting – The Friends of the Franklin Park Library support the Franklin Park Library by providing volunteer services, sponsoring library events, and funding library programs. New members are always welcome. 9:30-11:00am

July 11 – Be Your Own Hero #BYOH – Be a hero and help better your community by volunteering your time! Ages 9-12-years-old. 10:00am-12:00pm

July 11 – Knit & Crochet Group – New members always welcome! Join fellow crafters from every skill level. Learn tips and tricks and share projects you’re creating. 1:00-3:00pm

July 13 – “Drive-In” Movie Day – Turn a cardboard box into a “car,” then watch a superhero-themed movie while sitting in your car, just like at a drive-in! We will be watching Mulan. Drinks and snacks will be available. All ages. 2:00-4:00pm

July 13 – Fiction Book Club – We will be discussing Agatha Raisin and the Quiche of Death by M.C. Beaton. Pick up your copy of the book at the Circulation Desk starting a month before the discussion date. 7:00-8:00pm

July 17 – Toddler Art – Get your toddler ready to read through art. Join us for stories and hands-on activities to nourish your creative toddler. Remember that creativity can be messy so bring a smock. Limit 40. Ages 2-4-years-old with caregiver. 10:00-11:00am

July 25 – End of Summer Reading Party – Join us to celebrate the end of another Summer Reading Program with games, entertainment, and delicious ice cream. Grand Prize winners for all age groups will also be announced. 1:00-4:00pm

July 30 – Scrapbooking Club – Bring your photos, unfinished scrapbooks, and any material you’d like to trade with others. Ages 13-years-old and up. 6:00-8:00pm

July 31 – Anime Club – Watch your favorite anime and draw your own manga while feasting on Japanese snacks! Ages 12-17-years-old. 6:00-7:30pm
