Unless otherwise noted, registration is required for ALL library programs.

July 1 – Morning Movers – Develop your child’s early literacy skills through songs, rhymes, reading, and play. Ages 0-3 with caregiver. Limit 20. 10:00-11:00am

July 1 – Origami & Papercraft – Enjoy a relaxing night of paper crafting at your library. Have the freedom to craft to your heart’s content. For teens and adults. Limit 20. 6:00-7:00pm

July 2 – Arts & Snacks – Create a masterpiece at your library. We will have all sorts of art supplies available and a bunch of snacks to keep you going. For teens and adults. 1:00-4:00pm

July 5 – Storytime with a Hero – Who is your hero? Enjoy a different storytime each week led by a heroic member of our community. Registration is required. All ages. Limit 60. 10:00-11:00am

July 5 – Tween Tuesday – How fast can you pick up marshmallows with a chopstick? Join us each Tuesday for wacky and challenging minute to win it style games! Will you be the winner? Grades 4-6. Limit 30. 2:00-3:00pm

July 5 – Recycled Craft Night – Join us for fun crafts you can make with items you probably already own! Bring a plain, colored t-shirt and create your own Bleach Gel T-shirts. Limit 20. 6:00-7:00pm

July 6 – Ben’s Bubble Show – Enjoy art, science, and a touch of magic while watching this amazing bubble show! Sign up for this program begins on June 29th. Tickets are required to enter. Limit 60 per session. All Ages. 2:00-2:45pm & 3:00-3:45pm (2 sessions)

July 7 – Parker’s Storytime – Join us as we explore the alphabet with books, songs, and rhymes in this fun storytime. Ages 3-5 with caregiver. Limit 20. 2:00-3:00pm

July 7 – STEAM Team – Join us as we travel full STEAM ahead into fitness. Play fun games that support team building and creative problem solving. Don’t forget to bring a water bottle! Grades 1-3. Limit 30. 2:00-3:00pm

July 8 – Poolside Storytime at Gouin Pool – Read, splash, play! Meet your favorite librarians at Gouin Pool for a brief storytime, then stay and swim! Visit veteransparkdistrict.org for pool admission fees. 1:00-2:00pm

July 8 – Friday Flicks – Join us each month to watch a newly released movie! This month’s movie is My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 (PG-13). Refreshments will also be available. 2:00-3:35pm

July 9 – Friends of the Library Meeting – The Friends of the Franklin Park Library support the Franklin Park Library by providing volunteer services, sponsoring library events, and funding library programs. New members are always welcome. 9:30-11:00am

July 9 – Knit & Crochet Group – Join fellow crafters from every skill level. Learn tips and tricks and share projects you’re creating. 1:00-3:00pm

July 9 – Obstacle Course – Compete against your friends and family as you race your way through our obstacle course! This program is for teens aged 12 & up and adults. Registration is required. 1:00-3:00pm [Rain Date: Saturday, July 16 @ 1:00-3:00pm]

July 11 – Family Zumba® – Find your rhythm with our Family Zumba class. All participants must have signed parental/guardian permission. This class is open to kids in 3rd grade and up and their adult caregivers. Limit 20. 4:00-5:00pm

July 18 – Adult Coloring Club – Coloring isn’t just for kids anymore! Join us for a stress-relieving evening of coloring! Coloring pages and colored pencils will be provided for use, but feel free to bring in your own art supplies, too. 6:00-8:00pm

July 19 – Healthy “Low-Fat” Cooking – Chef Michael Maddox returns with a culinary program featuring some healthy alternatives to everyday dining.  Spend a great evening filling your appetite and mind without increasing your waistline! Limit 35. 6:00-7:30pm

July 22 – Toddler Art – Explore art through paint, sculpture, and more. Dress to get messy! Ages 2-4 years old w/ caregiver. Limit 20. 10:00-11:00am

July 26 – Tabletop Gaming Club – Grab some friends and visit your library to play from a selection of classic and new tabletop games. This program is for teens & adults. 6:00-7:30pm

July 27 – Scrapbooking Club – Bring your photos, unfinished scrapbooks, and any material you’d like to trade with others. For teens and adults. 6:00-8:00pm

July 29 – Teacher Supply Swap – Calling all educators! Are you tired of using the same materials to decorate your classroom, library, or day care? Come swap supplies for a refreshed look to start the new school year. 9:00am-8:30pm

July 29 – Anime Club – Draw and paint your own manga. Snack on delicious Japanese snacks. Watch your favorite Anime. Grades 7-12. 6:00-7:30pm

July 30 – End of Summer Reading Party – Celebrate the completion of another successful Summer Reading Program with a party! We will have games, face painting, and ice cream provided by Uncle Harry’s of Wisconsin. All grand prize winners will also be announced. 1:00-4:00pm
