June 1 – Family Movie Day – Join us this summer for hero-themed movies! Today’s movie is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990 version) (PG). Drinks and snacks will be available. All Ages. 2:00-4:00pm

June 2 – Storytime with a Hero – Who is your hero? Enjoy a different storytime each week led by one of our community heroes. Registration is required. Limit 75. All Ages. 10:00-11:00am

June 3 – Friendship Quilting Club – Join us for crafting and camaraderie. Whether you are a newcomer or a long-time quilting enthusiast, you’re invited to learn new techniques, talk about fabrics and share patterns. 10:00am-12:00pm

June 4 – Parker’s Storytime – Join us as we explore the alphabet and follow the five basic principles of “Every Child Ready To Read” with books, songs, and rhymes in this fun storytime. Ages 3-5-years-old with caregiver. Limit 20. 2:00-3:00pm

June 4 – Camp Superhero – It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s…You! Transform yourself into a superhero with accessories and feats of awesomeness.  Registration is required. Limit of 50 per session. Ages 6-8-years-old. 2:00-3:00pm

June 5 – Morning Movers – Let’s read, sing, and play in this storytime for babies and toddlers. Ages 0-3-years-old with caregiver. 10:00-11:00am

June 5 – Zumba® Kids – Come to a kid-friendly class based on original Zumba® choreography! Bring a water bottle & wear movement friendly clothing and gym shoes. All kids must have a waiver/release signed by a legal parent/guardian. Limit of 20 people. Ages 7-11-years-old. 3:00-4:00pm

June 5 – PokeFan Clash – All Pokemon Fans welcome! Watch Pokemon shows, play Pokemon card games, bring your Nintendo 3Ds for battles, and more! Limit 20. Ages 9-15-years-old. 5:00-6:30pm

June 6 – Friends of the Library Meeting – The Friends of the Franklin Park Library support the Franklin Park Library by providing volunteer services, sponsoring library events, and funding library programs. New members are always welcome. 9:30-11:00am

June 8 – Family Game Day – Family Game Day – Bring the whole family and play our assortment of Wii, card, and board games! All Ages. @ 2:00-4:00pm

June 8 – Writing Workshop – Do you love to read and write? Explore your inner creative voice with games and activities in this program! Ages 6-12-years-old.  6:00-7:00pm

June 9 – Storytime with a Hero – Who is your hero? Enjoy a different storytime each week led by one of our community heroes. Registration is required. Limit 75. All Ages. 10:00-11:00am

June 10 – Mister Kipley’s “Every Hero Has a Story” Puppet Show – Enjoy live music, interactive puppetry, magic tricks, and storytelling during this totally unique and exciting experience for children and grownups! Tickets are required to enter. Please visit the Kids Crossing Desk to receive tickets for this event. Limit 75. All Ages. 3:00-4:00pm

June 10 – Superheroes in the Movies – Get ready for action as Steven Frenzel returns with his exciting presentation about the legendary outsiders who conquer their limitations and save the day. Due to the intense action of some movie scenes, only children older than 10-years-old are allowed. 7:00-8:00pm

June 13 – Knit & Crochet Group – New members always welcome! Join fellow crafters from every skill level. Learn tips and tricks and share projects you’re creating. 1:00-3:00pm

June 26 – Toddler Art – Get your toddler ready to read through art. Join us for stories and hands-on activities to nourish your creative toddler. Remember that creativity can be messy so bring a smock. Ages 2-4-years-old with caregiver. Limit 40. 10:00-11:00am

June 26 – Anime Club – Watch your favorite anime and draw your own manga while feasting on Japanese snacks! Ages 12-17-years-old. 6:00-7:30pm

June 27 – Be Your Own Hero – Do you want to be a hero? Help better your community by volunteering your time! Ages 9-12-years-old. 10:00am-12:00pm

June 29 – Family Movie Day –  Join us this summer for hero-themed movies! Today’s movie is Bolt (PG). Drinks and snacks will be available. All Ages. 2:00-4:00pm

June 30 – Summertime DIY – Come make easy summer crafts at the Library! We’ll be making a bird feeder & bird bath from ordinary dishes and kitchen utensils. Registration is required. A $5.00 supply fee is due at time of registration. Limit 20 people. 6:00-7:00pm
