WEST LEYDEN HIGH SCHOOL HOSTS OPEN HOUSE
West Leyden High School will host its annual Open House on Tuesday, August 27, 2013, beginning at 6:00 p.m. and will include the following activities:
6:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. – Parent/Faculty Dinner and Social in the inner court (student cafeteria in case of rain) with food, live entertainment, and the opportunity for parents and faculty to meet and socialize.
6:50 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. – Class specific meeting held for parents to share information that is useful to their student. This includes tips on study skills, testing, colleges, and scholarships. Freshmen will meet in the Auditorium, sophomores in the student cafeteria, juniors in room 220, and seniors in the media center.
7:20 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. – Parents are invited to meet with teachers, learn about curriculum expectations, and follow a shortened version of their student’s schedule.
Spanish-speaking translators will be available throughout the evening.

EAST LEYDEN HIGH SCHOOL HOSTS OPEN HOUSE
East Leyden High School is holding its annual Open House on Tuesday, August 27, 2013, beginning at 6:00 p.m.
The evening begins with dinner and a social from 6:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. in the library, room 250. Parents will have the opportunity to meet with teachers, administrators, and other parents. Hot dogs, chips, desserts, and beverages will be complimentary. In addition, the Chamber Singers will perform.
From 6:50 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. parents are invited to attend class specific meetings. Each session will provide parents with information specific to the grade level in which their student is enrolled. Class specific meetings will be held in the auditorium (room 180) for freshmen; Little Theater (room 109) for sophomores; multipurpose room (room 152) for juniors; and in the choir room (room 221) for seniors. The Spanish language session will be held in room 222; and the Polish language session in room 223.
From 7:20 p.m. to 8:59 p.m. parents are encouraged to attend their student’s classes, meet with teachers, and learn what they expect from their students.
