             District 212 varsity and junior varsity cheerleading squads are holding the 1st Annual Leyden Little Eagle Cheer Camp on Saturday, February 3, 2013, in the field house at East Leyden High School, 3400 Rose St., Franklin Park.

The first clinic session will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. for children ages 4 to 6.  The second session will be held from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. for children ages 7 to 12.  Participants will learn three sideline cheers and a short half-time routine.

Participants are invited to cheer at the home basketball game on Tuesday, February 5, 2013.  Children in the 4 to 6-year-old group will cheer with the JV cheerleaders at the sophomore game to be held at 5:30 p.m., and those in the 7 to 12-year-old age group will cheer with the varsity cheerleaders at the 7:00 p.m. game.

The cost for the clinic is $30 for one participant and $40 for two participants.  The cost includes a T-shirt and a hair ribbon to be worn during the performance at the game.
