March 1 – Slime Fair – Here’s your chance to show off your best slime recipe and try out ones you haven’t seen before! We encourage speaking with a librarian in Kids Crossing to submit your recipe leading up to the event. Grades 3 and up. 5:00-6:00 pm

March 2 – Parker’s Playtime – Join us for some open play! Children and their caregivers can use soft toys and manipulatives, puzzles, blocks, and building toys in a welcoming environment that fosters curiosity and learning. Ages 0-3 with caregiver. 10:00-11:00 am

March 2 – Tabletop Gaming Club – If you enjoy playing various board games, then this is the program for you! Grab some friends and visit your library to play from a selection of classic and new tabletop games. This program is for teens and adults. 5:30-8:00 pm

March 3 – Arts & Snacks – Drop in for some art! Create a masterpiece at your library. We will have all sorts of art supplies available and a bunch of snacks to keep you going. This program is for teens & adults. 1:00-4:00 pm

March 7 – Library Quilt & Sew Club – Join us for casual discussion about quilting & sewing, and showing completed projects. We embrace all quilting and sewing skills. 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

March 7 – Spring Craft – Celebrate spring and make a lovely spring craft with us! Adults only. Limit 25 per session.  6:00-7:00 pm

March 8 – Full STEAM Ahead – Join us as we travel full STEAM ahead into science, technology, engineering, art, and math! Grades 1-3. 4:00-5:00 pm

March 8 – Clear the Clutter – Join Certified Professional Organizer Colleen Klimczack as she teaches you how to improve your life by getting the most from your stuff. Recognize and eliminate clutter, then maximize your stuff. Save time and money, and regain control of your home. 6:00-7:00 pm

March 9 – Friday Flicks – Join us each month to watch a newly released movie! This month’s movie is IT (R). Refreshments will also be available. 2:00-4:15 pm

March 9 – Friday Family Flicks – Join us each month for a family-friendly movie! This month’s movie is Space Jam (PG). Refreshments will also be available. 6:00-7:30 pm

March 10 – Friends of the Library Meeting – The Friends of the Franklin Park Library support the Franklin Park Library by providing volunteer services, sponsoring library events, and funding library programs. New members are always welcome. 9:30-11:00 am

March 10 – Zine Making 101 – Self-published and low-cost, printed zines continue to grow in popularity as an intriguing form of self-expression. Find out more about the art form, zine collectives and how to create your own. Materials will be provided. Grades 7-12. 1:00-2:00 pm

March 10 – Knit & Crochet Group – New members always welcome! Join fellow crafters from every skill level. Learn tips and tricks and share projects you’re creating. 1:00-3:00 pm

March 12 – LEGO Club – If you are an experienced builder or a first timer, this is the place for you! We provide the LEGO bricks and monthly challenges; you provide the imagination. For kids of all ages. 4:00-6:00 pm

March 13 – Preschool Storytime – Join us for a themed storytime filled with stories, songs, and other activities that encourage a love of language and learning. Ages 4-5 with caregiver. 10:00-10:30 am

March 14 – Coding Club – Good at solving puzzles? Join us to experiment with coding and uncover all the wonderful things you can do with computers & robots! Grades 3-6. 4:00-5:00 pm

March 16 – Parker’s Playtime – Join us for some open play! Children and their caregivers can use soft toys and manipulatives, puzzles, blocks, and building toys in a welcoming environment that fosters curiosity and learning. Ages 0-3 with caregiver. 10:00-11:00 am

March 16 – Minecraft Unplugged – Meet up with fellow Minecrafters and participate in some offline activities! Note: Although unplugged, you are welcome to bring your own device to show off your creations, with parental permission. Grades K and up. 4:30-5:30 pm

March 17 – Water Fountain Dash 2018 – Challenge your senses as you taste test increasingly spicy foods. (This program may not be suitable for those with food allergies.) Grades 7-12. 1:00-2:00 pm

March 23 – ABC’s of Art – Learn new techniques and create artwork inspired by the masters. Grades K-3. 4:00-5:00 pm

March 24 – Family Nailed It! – Join us for a family-edition of our simple construction program, Nailed It! We will work as a group to create a project that you can take home. Note: Due to the nature of the program, there are limited spaces available and latecomers will not be admitted. Ages 8 and up. 1:00-2:00 pm

March 27 – Preschool Storytime – Join us for a themed storytime filled with stories, songs, and other activities that encourage a love of language and learning. Ages 4-5 with caregiver. 10:00-10:30 am

March 28 – Now You’re Cooking! – Have fun making yummy recipes, and then sample your culinary creations. Grades 2-8. 4:00-5:00 pm

March 29 – STEAM Jr. – All the fun of Full STEAM Ahead for the younger set. There will be fun, hands-on experiments, so be prepared to get messy! Grades PreK-K. 4:00-5:00 pm

March 30 – Parker’s Playtime – Join us for some open play! Children and their caregivers can use soft toys and manipulatives, puzzles, blocks, and building toys in a welcoming environment that fosters curiosity and learning. Ages 0-3 with caregiver. 10:00-11:00 am

March 30 – Anime Club – Draw and paint your own manga, snack on delicious Japanese snacks, and watch your favorite Anime! Grades 7-12. 6:00-7:30 pm
