Unless otherwise noted, registration is required for ALL library programs.

March 1 – Morning Movers – Introduce your little ones to early literacy skills through reading, rhymes, songs and play. Ages 0-3 with caregiver. 10:00-11:00 am

March 2 – Arts & Snacks – Create a masterpiece at your library. We will have all sorts of art supplies available and a bunch of snacks to keep you going. This program is for teens and adults. 1:00-4:00 pm

March 4 – ESL Cafe – Come to the library for our English conversation group. Visite la biblioteca para participar en el grupo de conversación en inglés. Zapraszamy serdecznie na zajęcia konwersacyjne ESL. 7:00-8:00 pm

March 5 – Spring Craft: Watering Can Centerpiece – Join us to create your very own beautiful watering can centerpiece. Adults only. Limit 20. Registration is required. 2:00-3:30 pm

March 5 – Night Owls – Join us for a storytime with your little owlets. There will be reading, singing, and playing. It will be a HOOT! Ages 0-5 with caregiver. 5:00-6:00 pm

March 6 – Library Quilt & Sew Club – Join us for casual discussion about quilting & sewing, and showing completed projects. We embrace all quilting and sewing skills. 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

March 6 – Spring Craft: Watering Can Centerpiece – Join us to create your very own beautiful watering can centerpiece. Adults only. Limit 20. Registration is required. 6:00-7:30 pm

March 7 – Now You’re Cooking! – Have fun making yummy recipes and then sampling your culinary creations. Registration is required. Due to the popularity of this program, no walk-ins will be accepted. Grades 2-6. 4:00-5:00 pm

March 8 – Morning Movers – Introduce your little ones to early literacy skills through reading, rhymes, songs and play. Ages 0-3 with caregiver. 10:00-11:00 am

March 8 – Friday Flicks – Join us each month to watch a newly released movie! This month’s movie is The Old Man and the Gun (PG-13), starring Robert Redford, Sissy Spacek, and Casey Affleck. Refreshments will also be available. 2:00-3:30 pm

March 8 – Tabletop Gaming Club – If you enjoy playing various board games then this is the program for you! Grab some friends and visit your library to play from a selection of classic and new tabletop games. This program is for teens and adults. 6:00-8:00 pm

March 9 – Friends of the Library Meeting – The Friends of the Franklin Park Library support the Franklin Park Library by providing volunteer services, sponsoring library events, and funding library programs. New members are always welcome. 9:30-11:00 am

March 9 – Knit & Crochet Group – New members always welcome! Join fellow crafters from every skill level. Learn tips and tricks and share projects you’re creating. 1:00-3:00 pm

March 11 – LEGO Club – If you are an experienced builder or a first timer, this is the place for you! During this drop-in program, we provide the LEGO bricks and monthly challenges while you provide the imagination. All ages. 4:00-6:00 pm

March 11 – Monday Mysteries Book Club – Come enjoy tea and cookies and talk about books on the second Monday of each month. This month, we will be discussing A Lady’s Guide to Etiquette and Murder by Dianne Freeman. Copies of the book can be picked up at the Circulation Desk a month before the meeting date. 7:00-8:00 pm

March 12 – Sensory Art – Encourage your little ones to explore their senses with art projects chosen with them in mind. Ages 0-2 with caregiver.  4:00-5:00 pm

March 13 – Coding Club – Stop by to experiment with coding and computers! Grades 1-6. 4:00-5:00 pm

March 13 – Musical Munchkins – Explore the joys of music with your child. Ages 0-5 with caregiver. 5:00-6:00 pm

March 14 – Thursday Page Turners Book Club – Stop into your library and discuss popular non-fiction titles on the second Thursday afternoon of each month. This month we will be discussing Notorious RBG: The Life and Times of Ruth Bader Ginsburg by Irin Carmon and Shana Knizhnik. Refreshments will be provided. Copies of the book can be picked up at the Circulation Desk a month before the meeting date.  2:00-3:00 pm

March 14 – Celebrate with Pi(e) – It’s Pi(e) Day, a day when we celebrate a delicious dessert and an irrational number! Stop by for a slice and never-ending fun. Registration is required as no walk-ins will be accepted. Kids, teens, and adults are welcome to attend this event. 4:00-5:00 pm

March 15 – Morning Movers – Introduce your little ones to early literacy skills through reading, rhymes, songs and play. Ages 0-3 with caregiver. 10:00-11:00 am

March 15 – Nintendo Switch Club – Welcome all gaming fans! Our Nintendo Switch and select games will be available to play. Join us and have fun with other Nintendo fans. Feel free to bring your switch along, too. Grades 6-12. 4:00-5:00 pm

March 18 – Bingocize – Have fun playing Bingo and winning prizes. We’ll also get in a little light exercise (suitable for all skill levels and abilities). 11:00 am – 12:00 pm

March 18 – Fun-Ologies – Come explore interesting topics with Fun-Ologies! In March, learn about Mythology. Grades 3-6. 4:30-5:30 pm

March 21 – Get Crafty! – Get your craft on! You will have an opportunity to show off your crafting skills when you attend this make and take program. Grades 1-6. 4:00-5:00 pm

March 23 – Stuffed Animal Taxidermy – Take apart old toys and put them back together in different combinations. Grades 6-12. 2:00-3:00 pm

March 25 – Cleopatra: The Last Pharaoh of Egypt – Celebrate Women’s History Month with the most famous female ruler in history: Cleopatra! Her story is more amazing than a fiction author could imagine. Cleopatra “herself” engages you with her audacious spirit and astonishing guile as she relates her incredible true story. In costume and in character, Martina Mathisen is Cleopatra. 7:00-8:00 pm

March 27 – Craft with Me – Stop by to create a fun craft or two with your child. Ages 3-5 with a caregiver. 4:00-5:00 pm

March 27 – Treat Yourself – Enjoy a spa day at home after making your own spa treatments. Grades 1 & up. 4:00-5:00 pm

March 28 – Cooking with the Kiddos – Introduce your child to the joys of food with a hands on cooking program for the younger crowd. Grades PreK-1 with caregiver. 5:00-6:00 pm

March 29 – Morning Movers – Introduce your little ones to early literacy skills through reading, rhymes, songs and play. Ages 0-3 with caregiver. 10:00-11:00 am

March 29 – Anime Club – Draw and paint your own manga. Snack on delicious Japanese snacks and watch your favorite Anime. Grades 7-12. 6:00-7:30 pm
