May 1 – PokeFan Clash – All Pokemon Fans welcome! Watch Pokemon shows, play Pokemon card games, bring your Nintendo 3Ds for battles, and more! Limit 20. Ages 9-15-years-old. 5:00-6:30pm

May 2 – Mommy & Me Craft – Celebrate Mother’s Day by making a craft and sharing a treat with your mommy. All Ages. 11:00am-12:00pm

May 6 – Friendship Quilting Club – Join us for crafting and camaraderie. Whether you are a newcomer or a long-time quilting enthusiast, you’re invited to learn new techniques, talk about fabrics and share patterns. 10:00am-12:00pm

May 9 – Friends of the Library Meeting – The Friends of the Franklin Park Library support the Franklin Park Library by providing volunteer services, sponsoring library events, and funding library programs. New members are always welcome. 9:30-11:30am

May 9 – Knit & Crochet Group – New members always welcome! Join fellow crafters from every skill level. Learn tips and tricks and share projects you’re creating. 1:00-3:00pm

May 11 – Fiction Book Club – We will be discussing Lucky Us by Amy Bloom. Pick up your copy of the book at the Circulation Desk starting a month before the discussion date. 7:00-8:00pm

May 15 – Friday Flicks – Join us each month to watch a newly released movie. This month’s movie is Selma (Rated PG-13), starring David Oyelowo. Refreshments will also be available. 2:00-4:10pm

May 15 – Friday Family Flicks – Join us each month to watch a family-friendly movie. This month’s movie is Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb (Rated PG). Refreshments will also be available. 6:00-7:40pm

May 21 – Video Game Club – Stop by the library to try out some of our fun and classic video games. Limit 15 people. Ages 9-15-years-old. 6:00-7:30pm

May 28 – Scrapbooking Club – Bring your photos, unfinished scrapbooks, and any materials you’d like to trade with others. You will learn new techniques and be able to share ideas and materials. 6:00-8:00pm

May 29 – Anime Club – Watch your favorite anime and draw your own manga while feasting on Japanese snacks! Ages 12-17-years-old. 6:00-7:30pm

May 30 – Summer Reading Program Kick-Off Party – Join us to sign up for the Summer Reading Program and enjoy music, face painting, and a deluxe photo booth. We will have special entertainment at 2:00pm provided by JG’s Reptile Road Show. 1:00-4:00pm
