November 1 – Morning Bookworms – Start your weekend off right with a fun storytime and craft. Ages 3–5-years-old with caregiver. 11:00am-12:00pm

November 3 – Writing Workshop – Do you love to read and write? Are you excited at the possibility to share your writing with others? Come explore your inner creative voice! Ages 6-years-old and up. 6:00-7:00pm

November 7 – Morning Movers – Let’s read, sing, and play in this storytime for babies and toddlers. Ages 0–3-years-old with caregiver. 10:00-11:00am

November 7 – Second Life Jewelry Treasures – Give old jewelry a second life when we show you how to make bracelets. Due to the small size of the beads, people are encouraged to bring a magnifying glass. Registration is required. Limit 25 people. 6:00-8:00pm

November 8 – Zumba® @ the Library – Certified instructor Dana Trampas returns to lead our free Zumba® classes for people ages 13 and up (under 18 with parental permission). Be prepared to work out & have fun! Registration is strongly suggested. 11:00am-12:00pm

November 8 – Knit & Crochet Group – New members always welcome! Join fellow crafters from every skill level. Learn tips and tricks and share projects you’re creating. 1:00-3:00pm

November 10 – Fiction Book Club – We will be discussing the book Major Pettigrew’s Last Stand by Helen Simonson. Pick up your copy at the Circulation Desk starting a month before the discussion date. Registration is required. 7:00-8:00pm

November 11 – Storytelling Time with Miss Nancy! – Storyteller Nancy Newlin brings stories to life with interactive tales, improv, puppets, and music in this fun program for all ages. 10:00-11:00am

November 12 – Friendship Quilting Club – Join us for crafting and camaraderie. Whether you are a newcomer or a long-time quilting enthusiast, you’re invited to learn new techniques, talk about fabrics and share patterns. 10:00am-12:00pm

November 12 – Lego Club – We supply the Legos, you bring the imagination and creativity! All Ages (with adult supervision). Limit 60. 6:00-8:00pm

November 13 – Little Eagles Storytime – Read with us! We’ll share fun stories, learn new songs, and make something fun to take home. Ages 4–5 years old. Limit 25. 6:00-7:00pm

November 13 – Dewey Discovery – Are you interested in photography or painting? Join us as we explore the nonfiction section of the Library! Ages 6–8-years-old. 6:00-7:00pm

November 14 – Friday Flicks – Join us on Fridays each month to watch a newly released movie! This month’s movie is Jersey Boys (R), starring  John Lloyd Young and Christopher Walken and directed by Clint Eastwood. Refreshments will also be available. 2:00-4:15pm

November 14 – Friday Family Flicks – Join us on Fridays each month to watch a family-friendly movie! This month’s movie is Planes: Fire & Rescue (PG), starring the voices of Dane Cook, Ed Harris, and Julie Bowen. Refreshments will also be available. 6:00-7:30pm

November 15 – International Games Day – Players of all ages can stop by the Library and play a variety of board and card games, computer games, and Wii games. Snacks will be provided for all gamers. 1:00-4:00pm

November 18 – Financial Aid 101 – Find out all the ways you can pay for college from the Illinois Student Assistance Commission. Topics include the FAFSA, scholarships, grants, and loans. Parents and adults are also welcome to attend. 7:00-8:00pm

November 19 – Craft Café – Make a DIY pillow case & munch on yummy treats. Perfect for hibernation! Ages 9–12-years-old. Limit 20. 6:00-7:00pm

November 20 – Family Reading Night – Parents, did you know reading together remains the single most effective way to help children become proficient readers? Celebrate Family Reading Night with us and enjoy fun stories, activities and a visit from Chuck E. Cheese! Limit 25. 6:00-7:00pm

November 21 – Toddler Art – Join us for stories and hands-on activities to nourish the creative toddler within. Ages 2–4-years-old with caregiver. 10:00-11:00am

November 21 – Anime Club – Watch your favorite anime and draw your own manga while feasting on Japanese snacks! Ages 12–17-years-old. 6:00-7:00pm

November 25 – Thanksgiving Drop-In Craft – Children and their caregivers can stop in anytime today and make a fun Thanksgiving craft. 9:00am-8:30pm

November 29 – Friends of the Library Meeting – The Friends of the Franklin Park Library support the Franklin Park Library through volunteerism, fundraising activities and sponsorship of programs and activities. New members are always welcome. 9:30-11:00am
