Railroad Day Now Part of Franklin Park Fest

Railroad Day is now  part  of a four day long event in Franklin Park now known as Franklin Park Fest.  The event runs from June 9th. through June 12th. Thursday begins with Jazz Night followed by an evening of Rock ‘N’ Roll provided by The New Invaders and 7th. Heaven.  Franklin Park Fest continues on Saturday June 11th. with Railroad Day with the steam engine 765 rolling in.   The 765 is one of a famous class of steam locomotives called the Berkshire known for its “superpower” technology and aesthetic charm. The men and women of the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society saved the 765 from becoming a rusting monument in a city park and restored it to operating condition in 1979.  On Sunday June 12th, you can have a fun filled day with carnival rides.  So come on out for four days of fun at Franklin Park Fest.
