Rhodes American Legion Post #888 holds annual Pig Roast

005022007024The Rhodes American Legion Post #888 held its annual “Pig Roast” on Sunday July 28th. It included two whole pigs cooked to perfection by post members inside of 2 specially designed pig roasters. They were served buffet style along with many delicious side dishes made by the post ladies auxiliary. There was also a dessert table with brownies, cup cakes, and a pink pig cake. Located outside was a bags tournament attended by close to 25 teams. After dinner raffle tickets were drawn for many raffle prizes. Some of the raffle prizes were donated by local businesses and post members. A good time was had by all. The proceeds from this event  benefited veterans in need of assistance.
