September 2 – Arts & Snacks – Drop in for some art! Create a masterpiece at your library. We will have all sorts of art supplies available and a bunch of snacks to keep you going. This program is for teens & adults. 1:00-4:00pm
September 5 – Tween Tuesdays – Are you looking for a place to hang out with your friends while learning, creating, and exploring? Join us once a month for games, crafts, and snacks. Grades 4-6. Limit 15. 4:00-5:00pm
September 6 – Library Quilt & Sew Club – Join us for casual discussion about quilting & sewing, and showing completed projects. We embrace all quilting and sewing skills. 10:00am-12:00pm
September 6 – DIY Solar Light Chandelier – Come and make a beautiful solar light chandelier. Registration is required. Limit 20 per session. 2:00-3:00pm
September 6 – Comics for Kids – Do you love reading comics and graphic novels? Have you ever wanted to create your own? This is your chance to talk about YOUR favorite titles with other kids and also write and illustrate some comics yourself. Light snacks will be provided. Grades 1-5. Limit 15. 4:00-5:00pm

September 8 – Friday Flicks – Join us each month to watch a newly released movie! This month’s movie is Going in Style (PG-13), starring Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, and Alan Arkin. Refreshments will also be available. 2:00-3:30pm
September 8 – Friday Family Flicks – Join us each month for a family-friendly movie! This month’s movie is Honey, I Shrunk the Kids (PG). Refreshments will also be available. 6:00-7:45pm
September 9 – Friends of the Library Meeting – The Friends of the Franklin Park Library support the Franklin Park Library by providing volunteer services, sponsoring library events, and funding library programs. New members are always welcome. 9:30-11:00am
September 9 – Knit & Crochet Group – New members always welcome! Join fellow crafters from every skill level. Learn tips and tricks and share projects you’re creating. 1:00-3:00pm
September 11 – Coding Club – Good at solving puzzles? Join us to experiment with coding and uncover all the wonderful things you can do with computers & robots! Grades 3-5. Limit 10. 4:00-5:00pm.
September 11 – Tabletop Gaming Club – If you enjoy playing various board games, then this is the program for you! Grab some friends and visit your library to play from a selection of classic and new tabletop games. This program is for teens & adults. 6:00-8:00pm
September 12 – Morning Preschool Storytime – Join us for a themed storytime filled with stories, songs, and other activities that encourage a love of language and learning. Ages 3-5 with caregiver. Limit 10. 10:00-10:30am
September 14 – Parker’s Storytime – “S” is for storytime! Explore the alphabet with books, songs, and rhymes. Parents are encouraged to stay and participate. Ages 3-5 w/ caregiver. Limit 20. 4:00-5:00pm
September 14 – Full STEAM Ahead – Join us as we travel full STEAM ahead into science, technology, engineering, art, and math! Grades 1-3. Limit 30. 4:00-5:00pm

September 16 – Pop! Con – Celebrate your love of comics, anime, gaming, and everything else. Join us for our 1st annual pop culture fandom convention! We will have an artists alley, vendors, costume contests, trivia, and much more.
