September 5 – Morning Movers – Let’s sing, play, and read in this storytime for babies and toddlers. Ages 0-3-years-old with caregiver. 10:00-11:00am

September 6 – Morning Bookworms – Start your weekend off right with a fun storytime and craft. Ages 3-5-years-old with caregiver. 11:00am-12:00pm

September 8 – Writing Workshop – Do you love to read and write? Are you excited at the possibility to share your writing with others? Come explore your inner creative voice! 7:00-8:00pm

September 8 – Fiction Book Club – We will be discussing The Buddah in the Attic by Julie Otsuka. Pick up your copy at the Circulation Desk starting a month before the discussion date. Registration is required. 7:00-8:00pm

September 10 – Lego Club – Lego enthusiasts are invited to meet and work individually or as a group. We supply all the materials, all you need to bring is imagination and creativity! Registration & adult supervision required. Limit 60 people. All Ages. 6:00-8:00pm

September 11 – Dewey Discovery – Have you ever wanted to break a record or become a secret agent?  Do you like to create?  Join us as we explore the nonfiction section of the Library! Ages 6-8-years-old. 6:00-7:00pm

September 12 – Friday Flicks – Join us on Fridays each month to watch a newly released movie! This month’s movie is Draft Day (PG-13), starring Kevin Costner, Jennifer Garner, and Frank Langella. Refreshments will also be available. 2:00-4:00pm

September 13 – Knit & Crochet Group – New members always welcome! Join fellow crafters from every skill level. Learn tips and tricks and share projects you’re creating. 1:00-3:00pm

September 16 – Storytelling Time with Miss Nancy – Storyteller Nancy Newlin brings stories to life with interactive tales, improv, puppets, and music in this fun new program for all ages. Limit 25. 10:00-11:00am

September 19 – Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration – All ages are invited to come and enjoy the musical stylings of a local Mariachi band and celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month! 6:00-7:00pm

September 20 – Zumba® @ the Library – Certified instructor Dana Trampas returns to lead our free Zumba® classes for people ages 13 and up (under 18 with parental permission). Be prepared to work out & have fun! 11:00am-12:00pm

September 29 – ISAC Presentation: College 101 – Hey, Juniors and Seniors! Don’t know what college to apply to or have a clue what to major in? Not sure if you even want to go to college? Never fear! The Illinois Student Assistance Commission will be at the library to answer all your college questions. Parents and adults are also welcome to attend. 7:00-8:00pm
