Triton College Jazz Spectacular promises an evening to remember

River Grove, Ill. – On Saturday, April 6, Triton College will host its 2013 Jazz Spectacular, with an evening concert starting at 7:30 p.m., featuring the James Davis Quartet, Triton College Jazz Faculty Quintet, and the Triton College Big Band.

This wonderful day of jazz music is one of Triton’s largest music events of the year and features the students and faculty playing everything from bop to big band in a fairly formal concert setting.

Tickets are $7 for the general audience and $5 for students and senior citizens.

Also, at 4 p.m. that day, music students of all ages are invited to attend a free masterclass given by members of the James Davis Quartet.

All events will take place in the Performing Arts Center of the Robert M. Collins Center on Triton’s campus, 2000 Fifth Ave., in River Grove.
