Upcoming Service Disruptions at the Franklin Park Public Library

| February 17, 2016

The Library is in the process of joining the SWAN consortium (a group of Illinois libraries). The following service disruptions can be expected:

  • Text message notifications are suspended from February until May 2016. Use email notifications to track due dates and holds notices, and renew items through your account on our website. A new text message service will be available in May.
  • In early May, you will lose any lists under the My Lists feature in your library account. Try goodreads.com to create book lists. The My Lists feature will be available again on May 10.
  • The LibAnywhere app is going away. Use our website, fppld.org, to access your account and the online catalog. A new app will be released in May.
  • There may be fewer items on the New shelves in April and May. New releases may also be slightly delayed during this transition.

We apologize in advance for any inconvenience. Ask at the Info Desk for help. The Library will keep you informed of other changes via fppld.org and on Facebook.
